Courtyard
The gardens at Wren’s Nest are ever-changing. The courtyard area is bordered by donated plants memorializing a former resident and form the framework for a truly wonderful place to work alfresco and entertain groups attending events at Wren’s Nest. The centerpiece is the pink dogwood. Probably a hundred years old, this tree puts on a show of pink flowers for two weeks each spring heralding the end of Winter. It then fills in with leaves to offer a shady spot for a working area below.
Along the side of this upper garden are three large crepe myrtle trees that come in to full bloom twice each year providing a backdrop for photos and an excellent view from the Veranda, the Porch and everywhere else on the property.
The Gardens are popular for subscribers to take their laptops outside on beautiful days to experience the views, sounds and fragrances of the outdoors while working. This area is also available for subscribers to reserve for events. During pleasant weather Wren’s Nest provides treats and refreshments at the end of the workday for all to enjoy.
